I would like to express our interest to cooperate with Roma React Network and to introduce

the Media Education Centre:

The mission of the Media Education Centre is to promote role of the Media, Peace and Information Literacy in the transition to sustainable ways of living and a global society founded on a shared ethical framework that includes respect and care for the community of life, new media pedagogy, ecological integrity, universal human rights, respect for diversity, economic justice, democracy, and a culture of peace. Members of the Media Education Centre are encouraged to give back to the community in a way that is creative, meaningful and impactful. We share our time, resources, and collective imagination to advance causes that support and enrich our community.

One of our project with Roma youngsters in Serbia is  BUVERO ROMANO DROM, an innovative effort to enable young Romani women in communities across the country to start a process of change in their communities and in their own lives. Buvero-Romano Drom Project will provide media information literacy, media, leadership, and journalism training for 16-22 years old Roma girls. The program is designed to increase the self-esteem of girls through the mastery of digital journalism and new media skills, ultimately inspiring community activism and social change…
