Gmina Borzecin shooting July 1942

In July 1942, nearby Gmina Borzęcin,, German gandarmes captured a group of thirty Roma: three men, five women, twenty-one children aged four to twelve, and a new-born baby. The Germans forced lical cart owners to take the Roma people further away towards Boržęcin. On this site the cars stopped and gendarmes took Roma into the forest. Except one boy who managed to escape, all others were shot dead. After the execution, the German commander summoned a forester and ordered him to bury the bodies with the help of few local men
