About 2 000 people gathered in Budapest against racism

About 2 000 participants took part at the demonstration against the rehabilitation of fascist ideologues, racism, anti-Semitism and the restoration of the Horthy cult in Hungary on 17 June 2012. The even took place on Heroes Square, Budapest in extreme heat.
Spoke-persons who joined the demonstration were representing both the civil society sphere and left-opposition political parties. There is no record of major incidents taking place at the manifestation; however 45-50 counter-protesters have slipped into the crowd, yet unable to disturb the demonstration. Two of the counter-protesters got arrested as a consequence of their own facts.
